CASE STUDY
SoftServe — the long-form one
Kept here as proof of range — not the hire pitch. The Portland shop work sells the day-to-day; this film shows he can carry a long corporate story.
Twenty years, one room at a time
ANNIVERSARY FILM · SOFTSERVE
THE BRIEF, IN THREE PARTS
Role
Director, operator and editor on the same film. Agency orbit. Handled the script and the client, the look, the coverage and the cut were mine end to end.
Constraints
Working offices, real staff rather than talent, and a stakeholder list long enough that every beat had to survive a room full of opinions.
Outcome
A fourteen-minute cut that holds attention without a presenter — and the reason a fifteen-second shop Reel gets the same structural attention.
Fourteen minutes only works if every ninety seconds earns the next ninety. That is the same problem as a Reel, just stretched.
